The G.R.A.V.E.S Transmitter

Most of the systems are aimed at Dijon in central France where the G.R.A.V.E.S. transmitter is operating 24/7 to detect satellites and space debris for the French Government.  This radar signal is used to detect meteors entering Earth’s atmosphere.   Reflected radar signals are detected by antennas which are then analyzed by  computers and displayed live on the screens

The images above show the transmitters and the image to the left shows the receiving antennas.

The map on the right shows the theoretical area of the radar beam over Europe and the direction we look from at the South West UK
